Tone balance

Balance noise for your own headphones and ears. Not a hearing test.

Listen to the bands one by one

  1. Put on your headphones and set your device volume to a comfortable listening level; don't change it during the test.
  2. Each band starts at its quietest. Slowly raise the level and stop as soon as you first hear the hiss.
  3. Mark it with "I hear it here" and move to the next band.

If you can still hear the quietest setting, turn your device volume down a little and try this band again.

This is not a hearing test and tells you nothing about your hearing. Together with your headphones, device settings and background noise, the result only serves to make the tonal balance of noise more comfortable for you. Values are file levels (dBFS), not the sound level reaching your ears.
