Epilepsy and binaural beats

Why caution?

The absence of a demonstrated risk is not proof that there is none. Because studies exclude these people, there is little safety data for this group. We also make no unsupported claim such as "binaural beats cause seizures".

Visual safety

In photosensitive epilepsy, seizures can be triggered by visual stimuli. Frekans Studio never flashes any visual more than 3 times per second, never changes brightness at the beat rate and runs its visuals through an automated flash test (WCAG 2.3.1).

Make this decision with your doctor. As general caution, noise and nature-sound sessions can be preferred over high-rate (gamma) sessions.
